Always the failure. No matter how hard you try, you will never overcome, you will never win, you will always be overshadowed by THEM. So long as THEY'RE around, you cannot place first, you will never save the day. THEY are the ones who claim these rights - always the stars of the show and always the victors. Nobody even knows your name, who you are, what you do, why you even EXIST.

You will always be in the background, and nothing more will become of you.

A few of you have been upset by, or questioning of, the above text. I'm sorry if I upset you, that was not my intention. I was watching Fall Weather Friends where they're doing the Running of the Leaves. At the end of the race, the shot panned across a few of the background ponies all looking tired and disappointed and it just sort of got me thinking about the background characters a bit. "THEY" (as I refer to them in the description above) are, of course, the mane cast.
