i know this is cartoon logic but a baby a goddamn turtle and freakin rarity had gained the power of flight and yet something that was meant to fly cant...what the fuck man? it just annoys my logical side of my mind.
Well, all three of those example needed the aid of unicorn magic. Also, it's worth noting that Rarity's wings are outright dangerous to use, and Pumpkin Cake is apparently a freakish little unicorn. I mean, levitation? Walking through solid objects? Not even Twilight can do that stuff. I don't care much for Tank's magic propeller, seems a little too convenient.
Anyway, the point is those forms of flight are all basically frauds, so they don't really compare too well.
yea i figured i would be called out on that turtle part, but i guess...Cake must be a freak of nature even for a unicorn (cheats or something) and well yea a flying tortoise is too convenient (and not to much ironic for a winged speedster to have god this series has more puns, jokes and references in two seasons worth than anything i have seen recently lol)and Rarity wings...well theres your Icarus reference there.
Pumpkin Cale used her magic to levitate, yes, but she isn't a freak of nature. Twilight states at the beginning of the episode that baby unicorn magic is very strong and comes out in spurts. Thus, giving Pumpkin the ability to "fly". So there's your explanation for little Pumpkin Cake
im a stubborn pegasus and i think she will fly...after all why make a creature with wings although similar ones around them can use their wings and such and yet they cant?...why not make scoots an earth pony if that was the case...or were they going for the one of each for the CMC like they did 2 of each for the elements?
