My thoughts on the MLP Season 3 finale...First of all, I would like to say congrats to Daniel Ingram for doing a swell job making a musical episode. I don't think I've ever seen this many songs in such a short amount of TV before, and the sheer variety of tunes was quite a treat for the ears. I also loved all the continuity callbacks, like Pinkamena, Spike's 7 hour long bubble bath, etc. The episode was definitely full of emotion, and it definitely affected me in a big way.Having said that, not all the emotion I felt was good. The heartwarmingness of seeing Twilight bring her friends back to their real destinies quickly gave way to dread when I saw her teleported to an ethereal plane with Princess Celestia who congratulates her, and I instantly started having flashbacks of the final episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion. What followed kind of left me feeling empty, and even though I knew which emotional buttons the episode was supposed to be pushing, its attempts fell flat on me, and left me instead feeling worried.Overall, th

Scratch's EyesThe TL: DR is that Scratch's eyes as seen in the show are the same as Dash's. But here's a wall of text and helpful visual aids to help explain.Magenta is not red (and it's not really violet either).For reference, this is Dash's eye pulled right from the official artwork (and ergo how I made my color guide). The eye gradients are always composed of at least two to three colors, and they all go from a darker to brighter luminance. It never goes dark-light-dark, though it can certainly change hue.I've also included a screengrab of Dash from the show.The flash assets used in the promo sites are the real deal from Studio B, the web people are not reinventing the wheel (and anyone who says otherwise hasn't actually dug into the flash files in the past). DerpyIt seems there has been alot of buzz about Derpy being "fixed". I saw the New version of Derpy in "The Last Round-Up" and I do admit it didn't settle well with me. I still enjoyed the original. I didn't like the reason why they had her change. It didn't seem at all offensive in my opinion. When I first saw the scene in the animatic, I literally burst with joy. But I had a feeling that it might not settle with some fans and some people.
