Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

August Raffle Reminder

Since I haven't mentioned this month's raffle once since the beginning of the month, I figured it'd be a good idea to remind everyone that there are only a couple days left until ticket purchases for this month's raffle are closed.

The raffle is for an external 250GB hard drive in your choice of color, three lines of engraved text (optional) and your choice of pony graphic, which can be seen here : [link]

Tickets are $1 apiece, anyone can buy them regardless of where you live, so long as you have an address I can ship to, and you can buy as many tickets as you like. The drawing will be held in the first week of September, depending on when I have an evening to do it. I will probably try to do another livestream if you all are interested. I know a few people stuck around afterward to watch me mess around in Photoshop and I'd be more than happy to do so again if anyone wants to do that.

I don't send out tickets. Once the ticket purchasing is closed, I print off all the names on strips of paper (and if someone bought multiple tickets, they get multiple strips, of course) and put them all in a hat. I mix them all up and then draw the winner/s on Livestream.

You don't have to be present during the live feed in order to find out if you've won or not; I will email the winners using the email I asked them to provide when they bought their ticket/s.
