It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

July Raffle Closed. Drawing in 1 Week.

Ticket sales for the July Dash Drive Raffle are now closed. The drawing will be this Friday or Saturday if all goes as planned. Winners will be notified via the email they used for their Paypal accounts. If you use a different email than the one you use for your Paypal, send me a note now with your paypal account email as well as the email you want me to notify you at should you be drawn.

Once all winners have responded to me and everybody is confirmed, I will then announce the winners publicly here on DA as well as on the Dash Drive website. Winners can opt out of revealing any identifying info if they wish. Their name or DA account will be what is published if they don't opt out. It's up to them.

Next month's raffle will probably start a bit late due to July's raffle process rolling into August. Therefore, August's raffle will most likely be for the last two weeks of August and extend into September if needed. I honestly don't think they need to last so long. Only a few tickets were purchased in the last couple weeks of this month so I might just make it a two week purchase period so that the last two weeks of the month can be used for the drawing and winner notification process.

And that about does it for now.
