Good afternoon! I am in the mood to do a bit of vector work and have some time to do so for once, but I want to make some custom characters created by fans rather than show ponies, so I'm holding a contest of sorts to make it interesting! All it requires from you is a submission of your OC, so if you want a show-quality vector of your character, read the details below!

STAGE 1

In the journal comments below, post an image of (or a link to an image of) your own original character. Please do NOT submit other peoples' characters, only your own. This art is simply a reference for me when creating your character, so be sure to choose one of good color and design quality to increase your chances of being selected and for better and more accurate end results.

Include a brief description of your character. (short biography, sex, age, personality, etc.)

Include either an image/drawing or description of the pose or action that you would like to see your character performing.

You may submit as many characters of your own creation as you like, although only one character per person will be allowed to advance.

You may submit an artwork created by somebody else as long as it is of YOUR character.

Stage 1 will last for one week, starting today. Anyone may submit their characters during this time frame. Entries posted after April 16th will not be considered.

STAGE 2

After April 16th, I will select two original characters from the submissions to create vectors of. Choices will be made primarily based on the design and originality of the character. The artwork chosen to represent your character doesn't need to be amazingly good, even something like a Microsoft Paint-quality drawing will suffice as long as it represents your pony well enough for us to tell what we're looking at.

I will announce the two choices on the 16th and will immediately begin work on them, Meanwhile, I will also post a poll with ten (max allowed by DA) selectees from the remaining submissions for you all to vote on. The vote will run for around three days, after which the third and final winner will be announced.

I will work on the three winners as time permits, and will hopefully have them all completed within a week of the end of Stage 2.
